Pumpkin carving for Pudsey: Kellands gets creative for Children in Need

Pumpkins at night

Kellands Gloucester and Bristol get creative with a pumpkin carving challenge, raising over £2,000 for Children in Need.

Each year, Kellands looks for ways to raise money for Children in Need, supporting the fantastic work the charity does to improve the lives of children and young people across the UK.

This year, ahead of the annual fundraising event, colleagues from Kellands Bristol and Gloucester got into the Halloween spirit with a little friendly competition – ‘Pumpkin carving for Pudsey’.

The challenge invited colleagues from both offices to get creative, purchase their own pumpkin and carve it into whatever took their fancy. Scary, funny or wonderfully imaginative, anything was allowed!

There were plenty of fantastic entries, making the judging a difficult task for Steve. In fact, the standard was so high that he found it almost impossible to choose just one overall winner.

So, rather than pick a single champion, we decided to award a winner from each office.

A big congratulations to Oskar from Gloucester and Sam from Bristol, who took the honours with their fantastic creations, each receiving a bag of Halloween treats. Both were worthy winners!

Their winning entries are shown below – Oskar’s on the left and Sam’s on the right.

There were also some brilliant entries from our other younger participants. Heidi, Ada, Charlotte and Edie all did a great job, and special Halloween treats will be heading their way in recognition of their efforts. Well done to you all!

It was wonderful to see so much creativity and enthusiasm from everyone who took part, with the challenge bringing a little Halloween fun to both offices while helping to support such a worthwhile cause.

And the best news? The pumpkin challenge has raised just over £2,000 for Children in Need to date – a fantastic result and something everyone involved can be proud of.

Here are just a few more of the fantastic pumpkin creations. Well done to everyone who took part!
