Celebrating an Extraordinary Achievement: Archie Coleman Completes the London Marathon

Archie and Anton at the finishing line

Archie Coleman, grandson of Kellands Chairman Steve Kelland, completes the London Marathon and raises over £5,000 for Unique. Kellands Bristol donates £2,500 in support.

Everyone at Kellands is proud to celebrate an outstanding achievement by Archie Coleman, grandson of our Chairman, Steve Kelland, who successfully completed the London Marathon this weekend.

Archie, who turned 18 last month, took on the iconic 26.2-mile challenge alongside his dad, Anton, with a clear and meaningful goal to raise money for a worthy cause.  He chose to run in support of Unique – Rare Chromosome Disorder Support Group, a charity that provides vital support, information and community for families affected by rare chromosome conditions.

In completing the marathon, Archie is the first individual on Unique’s database to run and finish a marathon on the charity’s behalf — a remarkable milestone that highlights both his personal determination and his commitment to helping others.

His efforts have already raised over £5,000, including a £2,500 donation from Kellands Bristol, more than doubling his original fundraising target of £2,000. The funds raised will contribute directly to the ongoing work of Unique – Rare Chromosome Disorder Support Group, helping to support families navigating often complex and little-understood conditions.

Archie’s story is a powerful reminder of what can be achieved with focus and perseverance. It also underlines the importance of organisations like Unique – Rare Chromosome Disorder Support Group, which play a crucial role in supporting families and raising awareness of rare conditions.

At Kellands Bristol we are all incredibly proud of Archie. Completing the London Marathon is a fantastic achievement in itself, but to do so while raising awareness and funds for such an important cause makes it even more special. His determination and positive attitude have been inspiring to us.

Donations to Archie’s fundraising page are still being welcomed, with all proceeds going towards supporting the charity’s vital work.
