With spring under way and summer approaching, we are pleased to bring you our Spring/Summer 2025 magazine.

For investors, the first quarter of 2025 was dominated by the announcements and impact of Trump’s tariffs. These caused major volatility in global markets and economic tensions worldwide. Things have calmed down somewhat for the moment but on page 08 of our magazine, we look at the ripple effects from these actions that are reshaping global trade, inflation and investor sentiment.

The October 2024 Budget proposed major IHT changes, significantly tightening the laws that were previously more forgiving for families with trading businesses and farmland. On page 04, we look at how families might be able to minimise the impact of these changes with some early estate planning.

Ten years ago, pension freedoms revolutionised how people access their retirement savings, offering savers over 55 greater options to withdraw and manage their pension pots. However, ten years on, research indicates that many individuals are making critical financial decisions without seeking advice or fully understanding the tax implications.
